The Site...

The idea for HauntedWisconsin.com began in 1998 after viewing many haunted attraction Web sites. Most of the sites had listings for haunted attractions throughout the U.S. that provided little information. The information that was provided was usually out-of-date. After some time with toying with the idea and doing some research and work, HauntedWisconsin.com was on the Web in the summer of 2000. At that time, our only goal was only to provide up-to-date information on haunted houses in Wisconsin. However, since that time the site has grown considerably and not only provides haunted house information, but also lists many other Wisconsin Halloween events such as home haunts, corn mazes, trails and hayrides.

Our new goal is to provide thorough up-to-date information on all Wisconsin Halloween events and help keep Halloween alive in Wisconsin. We've done this not only by expanding the types of Halloween events we list, but also by providing a listing of pumpkin patches, trick-or-treat dates, times and safety tips, visitor submited reviews and hundreds of links to Halloween news articles and other Halloween Web sites. We continue to work on improving the functionality and information we provide and always appreciate visitor feedback.

The Staff...

Jennifer and Andy Meier are the husband & wife team who make up the staff of Haunted Wisconsin.

Andy is the brains behind all of the programming and code that goes into the site. He's a busy guy but still manages to help Jennifer with Haunted Wisconsin and his mom with her antique shops Web site, SharonShops.com.

Jennifer (aka: webmistress) deals with all of the content, updates, e-mails, advertising, etc.
